Tessellator is a music app made by Rigonometry LLC ("Rigonometry," "we," or "us"). This policy explains what information Tessellator handles and how.
Tessellator doesn't ask you to create an account, doesn't ask for your name or contact details, and doesn't use your microphone. The sound and the figures are generated on your device as you play. The only information collected is anonymous usage statistics, described below.
To remember your preferences between sessions, Tessellator saves some information on your device only, including your settings, your last-used preset and sound, and your arpeggio pattern and speed. This information is never sent to us. You can remove it at any time by deleting the app.
When you use the record feature, Tessellator records the instrument's own sound, not your microphone. Recordings are created on your device. When you stop recording, your phone's share options appear, and the recording goes only where you choose to send it, such as your Files app or a message. We never receive or store your recordings.
Tessellator's hosting provider collects anonymous usage statistics to help us understand how the app is used and improve it. These include the number of visits and visitors, how long sessions last, which screens are viewed, your approximate location (such as country or city, estimated from your IP address), how you arrived at the app, and your device type and operating system. To count unique visitors, our hosting provider may store a cookie or similar identifier on your device. Like most online services, the servers that deliver the app also receive basic technical information, such as your IP address, to deliver and secure the app.
We use this information only in aggregate, to see how Tessellator is used. We don't use it to identify you, we don't combine it with information from other companies, and we don't sell it. Our hosting provider handles this information on our behalf and is required to protect it.
Tessellator is suitable for all ages. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. The only information collected is the anonymous usage statistics described above.
Tessellator includes links to the Rigonometry website, on the main screen and on the Info screen. These open in your browser. Other websites have their own privacy policies.
If we update this policy, we'll post the new version here and change the effective date above.
